Yacht Paint Surveyors have almost become an essential tool for any new-build or Superyacht refinishing project. The cost of painting a Superyacht, with the cost of product, tenting, environmental issues and labour is exremely high and if something goes wrong a yacht paint and application specialist would need to be called upon for his expertise. Many paint companies and yacht paint applicators will rely on the expertise of a qualified surveyor in the case of a dispute. In many cases a Yacht Paint Surveyor will be called upon to project manage a large finishing project from the outset which could cover surface preparation, fillers, undercoat and topcoat application. Many disputes arise over contaminated surface paint, orange peel finish, lack of gloss, bad adhesion etc with many problems not being apparent for some months after work is completed, with an application specialist on site many of these problems can be avoided.
